Aural Rest

Terms of Use

Effective October 24, 2026

These terms apply to your use of Aural Rest, published by Turntable Medic. By using the app you agree to them.

A wellness tool, not medical care

Aural Rest provides sound-based relaxation and notched sound for people with tinnitus. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or audiologist. Research on notched sound therapy has shown mixed results, and it may not help you.

See a doctor promptly if your tinnitus is in one ear only, came on suddenly, pulses with your heartbeat, or comes with hearing loss, dizziness, ear pain or discharge.

Listen safely

Keep the volume comfortable and moderate. Loud sound can damage hearing and make tinnitus worse. Stop using the app and seek medical advice if your tinnitus, hearing or comfort gets worse.

Your license

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Aural Rest on devices you own or control, under these terms and the terms of the store you got it from. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

Your music

You are responsible for having the right to play any music you add. The app plays your files on your device and does not copy or share them.

No warranty

Aural Rest is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Turntable Medic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the app or your inability to use it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Open-source software

Aural Rest includes open-source software and fonts, each under its own license. See Open-source licenses in the app.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will appear in the app with a new effective date, and continuing to use the app means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
